No pressure to be funny

The highly acclaimed No Pressure To Be Funny returns with an International Alert special on Sunday 28 September at the Phoenix.

Described as “a charmingly scruffy satire show” by the Guardian and “one of the best topical comedy podcasts out there” by the Huffington Post, No Pressure To Be Funny has been the Critics’ Choice in the Guardian, Time Out, Telegraph, Independent, Sunday Times and Big Issue.

On the panel will be: brilliant comedy song performer and writer Mitch Benn; qualified GP and international stand-up comedian Paul Sinha; rising comedy star and show opener for Josh Widdecombe and Alar Carr, Suzi Ruffell; and International Alert’s Secretary General Dan Smith.

No captions, no captains, no competitions – just funny, informed and acerbic discussion about the world and what’s going on, with comedians, journalists, politicians and campaigners. Presented by LBC Radio’s James O’Brien, produced by Alex Grace and written and put together by comedians Alistair Barrie and Nick Revell.

The show starts at 7.30pm and remains a recession-busting £10, or £8 with concession.
