#peacehack – the results

After 36 hours of ideas generation, coding, building, talking and the occasional eating and sleeping, the #peacehack finally came to a conclusion on Sunday afternoon.

We were very lucky to have six diverse ideas presented to the judging panel at the end of the event and the panel had a very difficult time deciding a winner. In the end a joint first place was awarded to:

  • Roslyn and Dalton Scott for their ‘Supply Peace’ proposal, a business to consumer web service that tracks and explains the supply chain of the electronics industry; and
  • Alain Fundi and Alok Matta for their ‘Peace Bio’ app, where users score on a ‘personal peace index’ by doing everyday peace tasks, and can compete with their friends.

We’d like to thank all the participants for taking part and all presenting amazing ideas. We are looking forward to seeing how some of these develop over the next few months.
